Lingerie has been a very important part of a woman’s wardrobe for centuries. Though the style of lingerie changed and evolved over the years, they still constitute the aura of allure and attraction that women love. Baby doll outfits have been in vogue for decades but earlier they were not as revealing as they are today. The Baby Doll unites the sexuality of a woman, with the innocence of a child. This special lingerie features a built in bra with a flowing material around the lower half. In the earlier times in was the ideal garment to be worn at beaches and swimming pools.

Today the baby doll outfit is popularly worn as a nightgown. The top half gives shape to the cups of the bust and the lower half is a skirt. The most important thing is that the outfit should be comfortable, only then will you enjoy wearing it.

While choosing your baby doll lingerie, make sure that you feel and look sexy in it, only then will you be able to carry it off well. If you get conscious then you will not enjoy wearing it. You can choose the color, material and design according to your liking and make sure that it hides all your flaws and insecurities. Baby doll outfits comes in a variety of lengths, be sure to choose the one that you are most comfortable in. If you have a long torso, you can buy a long outfit, which can even cover your hips.

Wearing a fancy panty along with the baby doll outfit enhances the beauty of the garment. You have choices of a boy cut, string, or thin lingerie that you can wear with it.

If you like a fancy baby doll outfit, you have the choice of attaching ribbons and laces on the shoulders, bottom or near the sleeve. You also have the choice of selecting whichever sleeve you like, making it look very elegant. There are baby doll outfits available that have frills attached to the lower half of the garment, making it look very stylish and chic. Many have bows and stars attached to it, giving it a little girl look. There are laces and frills attached to the cup of the bust, which enhances the curves. Baby doll garments can be worn around the house as well, making sure that they are made of a thicker material, such as silk or satin, which isn’t too revealing. The soft material of the outfit makes you want to wear it all the time.

Dating advice columnist and author Lisa Daily can tell you why he didn´t call, the color you should never wear on a first date, and even where to snoop for evidence if you think your guy´s been fooling around. Millions read her dating advice column or tune in to see her every week on Daytime, and the early buzz on her debut novel Fifteen Minutes of Shame says it pops with the same signature quirky humor and fresh, irreverent voice that made her dating advice book, Stop Getting Dumped! a bestseller.

Women from 16-60 flock to Lisa´s popular Dream Girl Academy at the Learning Annex in New York City and events across the US. Lisa is a dating coach, speaker and popular media guest — she has done more than 2000 interviews on top radio and television shows, including iVillage Live, MTV Live, Entertainment Tonight and top UK national morning show, This Morning, and she appears as a real-life dating expert on the HITCH movie DVD starring Will Smith. A frequent source for reporters, Lisa has been quoted in hundreds of publications, from the New York Times, Washington Post and Chicago Tribune to Cosmopolitan, Glamour, Men´s Health, Christian Science Monitor and US Weekly Magazine.

We had a chance to interview the new author of the bestselling book, Fifteen Minutes of Shame (Plume/Penguin, March 25, 2008) and to find out more about this dynamic author whose books keep us yearning for more!

Thank you for this interview, Ms. Daily. Can you tell us if your expertise in dating wisdom helped in writing your new book, Fifteen Minutes of Shame?

Thank you for having me! My experience as a TV dating expert definitely helped me in writing Fifteen Minutes of Shame. The main character, Darby Vaughn is a TV dating expert who finds out her husband is cheating, live on national television. The week before my dating advice book, Stop Getting Dumped! was first published, a very prominent dating expert was going through a very public divorce, and she was really taking a lot of heat in the media. At the time, my husband and I had just been married a few years — I remember thinking how awful it would be to go through one of the most difficult times in your life with the entire world watching — and the idea for Fifteen Minutes of Shame was born.

As I was developing the story, a lot of the funniest scenes deal with the world of television — the disparity between how something (and some people) look on TV, versus in real life, has always been hilarious to me.

How long have you been helping others with relationship problems? When did you first start and where did you publish your first relationship column?

I wrote my dating advice book, Stop Getting Dumped!, in 2002, and started writing my column at the same time. The column developed into regular TV and radio appearances, and I’ve done the weekly segment on the DAYTIME show for just over two years.

Your book is chick lit/humorous women´s fiction. Did you find it hard getting an acceptance with a major publisher for a genre that critics claim is dying? Do you still see a market for it?

I think there will always be a market for good, smart, funny women’s fiction. Other humorous women’s fiction authors, like Jennifer Weiner and Sophie Kinsella will continue to sell their wonderful books, whether they’re called chick lit or women’s fiction or something else. I feel fortunate, I didn’t have any trouble getting acceptance for Fifteen Minutes of Shame — we sold it to the same house (Plume/Penguin) that published my non-fiction book. They loved the story, and bought it on nine chapters and a proposal.

That said, I do think the market is tightening a bit. When chick lit became popular, publishers flooded the bookstores with chick lit, and in some cases, contemporary romances dressed like chick lit. There was more supply than demand, and now we’re seeing the publishers and the marketplace adjust.

Your first dating advice book, Stop Getting Dumped!, became an overnight sensation and a bestseller. In what ways did you become a part of making that happen? In other words, what kind of promotions did you do on your own or did you rely mainly on your promotion team at Penguin?

I was fortunate to have a great team at Plume/Penguin — Trena Keating was my genius editor in chief (and also the person who encouraged me to write Fifteen Minutes of Shame) and my publicist, Sarah Melnyk, was really enthusiastic. That said, I took on the responsibility of directing the marketing efforts for Stop Getting Dumped! — every publisher has limited time and resources for any given book, and while I was grateful for any and all support Plume provided, I knew it was my responsibility to get the book off the ground.

I did a lot of online marketing with dating sites, I wrote articles, I pitched the media incessantly, I left postcards in NYC taxis, and spoke to any group who would listen.

Can you tell us more about your Dream Girl Academy?

After Stop Getting Dumped! became a bestseller, I received so many letters from women across the country asking if I taught a class or a seminar to teach women some of the methods in the book — I began teaching the class at Open U in Minneapolis and The Learning Annex in New York City – a sort of dating finishing school for fun, fabulous chicks. Eventually, I was teaching the class as far away as London, and was surprised by how popular they became. Women would bring their girlfriends and their mothers, and it was this amazing, supportive, fun, feminine environment. A lot of times, I´d end up staying after the class and talking to the women for hours. As soon as we posted information on the web that I´d be doing a 20-city tour for FIFTEEN MINUTES OF SHAME, we started getting requests from readers — so I´ll be doing Dreamgirl Academy events all across the country in March and April.

You are a speaker and popular media guest, appearing on more than 2000 top radio and television shows. That’s an amazing amount of appearances. Can you tell us which one of those shows stood out as your most memorable and would you like to tell us about it?

I really love doing interviews, and I’ve been fortunate to meet a lot of interesting people that way. I think the most memorable was when I did a little talk show called SOAP TALK (which I’d never heard of before they booked me), and sat next to Rick Springfield in the makeup room. I’d had a HUGE crush on him when I was a teenager, and it was completely surreal to sit next to him. We chatted for a bit, and he was very nice. Then, he went on for his segment and sang JESSE´S GIRL, and I stood there swooning with a few of the producers on the side stage.

Your book, Fifteen Minutes of Shame, is about a relationship advice columnist much like yourself. Do you see a little bit of yourself in your main character?

Darby is a lot like me –although, to the best of my knowledge, my husband is not planning to dump me on national television. Darby has a real desire to help other women find love, funny things are always happening to her, and we’re both madly in love with men who have sparkly green eyes.

Darby, like me, tends to think her way through difficult emotional situations, and because she’s so rational, seems so pulled together, people think she’s fine, even when she’s not.

Aside from that, Darby and I both have the same perspective on dating and love — each chapter begins with dating advice from Darby, which is the same advice I would give as a real-life relationships expert.

What does your book have that people are going to say, “I need a copy of that book!”

It’s margarita-out-your-nose-funny, and it will make you want to be braver in love.

What plans do you have for the future?

I’m working on a new dating advice book, out January 2009 called HOW TO DATE A GROWN-UP, and a new novel, titled THE TRUTH ABOUT GOSSIP, which should be out sometime in 2009 as well.

Thank you for the interview, Ms. Daily. Can you tell us how we can find out more about you and your delightfully funny book, Fifteen Minutes of Shame?

Thanks so much, I had a great time! You can learn more about me and FIFTEEN MINUTES OF SHAME at www.lisadaily.com

One Christmas I remember in particular was waking up on Christmas morning and finding tickets to see Rick Springfield in my stocking. Yes i know that was quite some time ago but I will never forget the excitement of that surprise. There are so many different items you can put in a stocking to make it memorable or useful for the recipient . Think about who you are giving it to and what there likes are. For girls and women you cannot go wrong with bath lotions and scrubs. For guys maybe they would like aftershave or an electric razor. Here are some things that might make your shopping easier when filling up the stockings this year.

1) Book or Magazine- I love to give this in stockings, give them a book or magazine they have wanted or you know they would like. My mom in particular loves cookbooks so I try to put one in her stocking every year.

2) Perfume or Cologne – who doesn’t love to receive this? Not many people I can promise you that. Give them an old favorite or something new and exciting.

3) CD or DVD – Every one loves to receive cds and dvds, maybe if they don’t care for a music cd they would prefer a relaxation cd.

4) Bath Lotions -There are many places where you can find wonderful lotions to place in the stocking , one of my favorite places to buy from is a place called the body bakery and bath and body can’t be beat.

5) Skincare – whether it be anti aging or acne related this is a great stocking stuffer

6) Unique Candy – I have found some cute places online over the years that have the most unusual candy , do a search for Christmas candy and see what you come up with.

7) Gloves – My favorite are heated and they can’t be beat

I hope you find this list helpful when buying gifts for your stockings this year.

Are you bored with the design in your bedroom and looking for something new and different to do in the space? Have you thought about creating a theme in your bedroom inspired by the style of a particular decade or era? This can greatly affect your mood upon entering the room and spice up the place by reflecting your inner personality. One of the best focus points with which to accomplish this is through the use of headboards, since they are typically one of the largest and most prominent pieces in the room. Whether you are inspired by modern design and have contemporary bedroom furniture or have some other time period in mind and want to travel back to that decade, the headboard of your choice can make it all come together.

For those who are obsessed with the Renaissance and Middle Ages, you may find that a theme of iron and wood portrays your innermost thoughts best. Wrought iron headboards can really reflect the style of the times in several ways, since this was a standard material for bedding at the time and also denotes the fierceness of the era with its cold harshness. You can find these with intricately woven designs or hard, cold straight bars and right angles, the latter of which was more common in the Medieval era while the former became the style during the Renaissance.

If you are a little more interested in recent past, you may find that a wooden headboard will suit your needs. Depending on the style, these headboards can be used to signify several eras, ranging from the Old West to the Puritan era and even up to the mid-20th century. In fact, wood is still a popular medium for a headboard today, so if you choose the style that matches your era of interest, you’ll be able to use wood for almost any purpose.

While not the first time they were available, bookcase headboards really came into popularity in the 1980′s. If you’re feeling a little New Age flare or late disco fever, this might be the decade for you. Use the shelving to house your disco ball and lava lamp (left over from the 70s), as well as your books on evolution and pop culture. Be sure you have pictures of Rick Springfield and Cyndi Lauper on the walls, too!

If all else fails, you can use prints to denote the style of your room and the era for which you are decorating. Upholstered headboards make it simple and fun to create a theme for your bedroom, allowing you the ability to redecorate often with ease and just a piece of cloth and a few staples. Use paisley for the 70s, fluorescent shades for the 60s, all black to recognize the Gothic wave of the 90s, or flashy metallic colors for the new millennium. Whatever your preferred era is, you can find a way to create a bedroom theme around it with headboards as your centerpiece and the draw to attention for any visitor. Let your personality loose and give it a try!

Green to Grow Baby Bottle Wide Neck – 10 oz. Bad engineering, not worth the money at all. – A. Levy – New York City
I bought these bottles because I was tired of having to wash all the different parts of my Born Free Bottles. However, my 15 month old son needs to stop himself from sucking every couple of seconds cause too much air gets in and it interrupts the process. You can hear the bubbles loudly while he’s sucking and you even see tons of them shaping inside the bottle. It sucks cause I bought all new separate nipples since the bottles come with a medium flow and my son needed fast flow.
I just don’t recommend it, that’s all!
Green To Grow: 10-WD Only the best for your baby. Green to Grow wide-neck baby bottles are made from PES plastic, which gives them a natural golden color. They are free of phthalates and free of bisphenol A — a potentially harmful chemical that’s used in other types of baby bottles. Bottles are tested in the U.S. to ensure they meet the highest standards for quality and safety.

Now you would probably know that James Naismith invented basketball in springfield, Massachusetts in 1891. But did YOU know that the three point arc was first used in the NBA (pro basketball) in 1979? Perhaps you DON’T know everything about pro basketball. Read on.

How about some basics. Pro basketball in the USA is called the National Basketball Association (A.K.A. the NBA). The NBA holds the very best teams, which hold the very best players, like Lebron James and Kevin Garnett. These teams are separated by either Eastern or Western. In the Eastern you have the Atlantic, Central, and Northeast divisions. The Western holds the Southwest, Northwest, and Pacific divisions. The greatest players play in the Olympics.

Some of the greatest teams are the Boston Celtics, the Chicago Bulls, the Detroit Pistons, and the Los Angeles Lakers. Feats accomplished by Los Angeles Lakers would include their record-holding .937 playoff winning rate in 2000-2001. You probably all know Kobe Bryant, who plays for them. Some of the best players are Wilt Chamberlain, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Rick Barry, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Kevin Garnett, Allen Iverson, Lebron James, George Mikan, and Julius Erving. All of these players are truly amazing.

The NBA is also concerned with sicknesses, diseases, homeless, etc. Their foundation is called NBA Cares (you would have never guessed). They have donated 100 million dollars to charity. They’ve provided one million hours of service to the community. NBA Cares also has created 250 places for kids and families to play, learn, or live. This association has worked with many other large foundations such as UNICEF. If you would like to learn more go to www.NBA.com.

As you can see, pro basketball is not very complicated. Except when you learn the fact that there are many other pro basketball associations in other countries like EURO, or so I think it is called. Well, you get the point about many other associations being out there. Hopefully this article was a helpful resource to you.

Jay Malone is a street and court baller who hopes of making it college, and then pro. His favorite player is Vince Carter, and his favorite team is the NJ Nets. It is Coincidental that Vince Carter plays on the Nets. You can access his updated blog at the basketball resource. It is a blog with the purpose of making you a better baller and giving you more knowledge of the game of basketball.

How can you “break the ice” with a youth who is a total stranger and guide the discussion from an awkward silence into a meaningful conversation?

Jesus often got people talking with his first question and then was able to guide the discussion so that it developed into a meaningful conversation about a life-changing topic!

He met people where they were–whether they were drawing water, fishing, collecting taxes, watching him from a treetop, or worshipping God in the Temple in Jerusalem.

But Jesus was never content to leave them where they were.

His objective was always a changed life!

Remember the Woman at the well…

A simple request for a drink led to a meaningful discussion on “living water” that transformed a village.

Zacheus was simply hoping to get a glimpse of Jesus but instead got to talk to him at his own dinner table in a conversation that not only changed his life, but reached out to the lives of many sinners!

Christ’s first words to Nicodemus, a religious scholar, were a conundrum, a puzzle that left him searching.

And that search seemingly reached its conclusion when Nicodemus took a bold step of faith, along with Joseph of Arimathea, and asked for the body of Christ after the Crucifixion.

The gospels are filled with the stories

of people who encountered Christ and then

their personal stories would be forever changed!

In encounter after encounter… Jesus not only broke the ice, but he left a lasting impact on the lives of the people he spoke with!

Sometimes Jesus used questions to break the ice. But on other occasions he use everyday objects, shared experiences, stories, and even crises to break the ice and open up the way to life changing spiritual discussions.

He asked people to share their opinions,

challenged their assumptions,

and asked them to find solutions.

He constantly invited others to join him in experiences

and used those common experiences

to bring out life changing spiritual truths.

Fresh experiences often served as living parables.

It’s easy to relate to the feelings, thoughts, and experiences when you have just experienced them.

Then it is only a short little jump to deeper truths and understanding.

The “here and now” becomes a springboard

to the distant future,

to choices and consequences.

A small controlled simulation

becomes a safe crucible

to test the consequences of real life decisions.

In the same way today, games, challenges, and contrived situations can generate discussions and expose the same deep set beliefs, attitudes, and values as real life situations and events.

How you play the game

is a reflection of who you are

and how you deal with life!

But in all things Jesus always had a purpose.

He broke the ice,

and later his own body would be broken,

so that broken lives could be mended.

Learn how you also can “break the ice”

and make a lasting impact in the lives of youth!

I’ve specially prepared 52 of my best icebreakers of all time!

(That’s a full year of icebreakers – one a week!)

And like Christ’s encounters with strangers they are icebreakers with a purpose.

Each one includes debriefs and meaningful discussion questions that engage youths to deal with real life issues.
